Work

Some of my work is centered around building Digital Signage Solutions. I've developed media player applications for commercial Android devices, and other customized hardware. I've built deployed and maintained server infrastructure built with Python and Django to handle thousands of player connections.

Since 2022 I have worked for Adafruit part-time on the team of people developing and maintaining the CircuitPython open source project and community. I livestream development work on CircuitPython and related libraries or projects on a weekly basis.

About Me

I was lucky enough to be able to learn Java in highschool. A few years after I graduated, Android had been released and gave me a platform to use the knowledge that I had acquired. I got the first Android phone shortly after its release, and began writing programs for it. Much of my earliest Android work revolved around barcodes in some form.

Lately I've been immersed in the world of CircuitPython and microcontrollers. I was initially hooked by the quick development iteration cycle of CircuitPython and the ability to make software have more tangible effects in the real world. The friendly and welcoming community surrounding the project led me to get involved on a deeper level.
